Cathy Zanon

Business Coach specializing in team and individual development and leadership.

I started Zanon Performance Consulting in 2001 based on the belief that if I can achieve my dream of taking control of my career success, others can achieve whatever they can dream as well.

I began my coaching career 10 years ago when I took over management of a documentation group within a large regional bank. My role as Manager of a 27 member team located in Columbus, Ohio and Phoenix, Arizona highlighted the need to not just manage my team, but to create an environment in which they could thrive.

To achieve organizational improvements, I introduced a strategic direction refocus followed by process improvement work to update our systems. Then I made sure the improvements were fully implemented and embraced using continuous quality improvement techniques to help the team function as a unit.

With this experience and training, I chose in 2001 to leave “big corporate” to work with small and medium-sized organizations. Currently my clients range from small to medium non-profit organizations, small business owners and individuals employed by large corporations who just need more personalized attention to their development. My approach focuses on unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. My clients are able to uncover their own answers to their performance improvement instead of looking externally for direction.

I have a Master of Science in Human Services Management degree from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. I have been adjunct faculty at Franklin since 2001 instructing in communications and motivational coaching courses. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University in Communication. But my proudest accomplishment is being the single mother of a beautiful, healthy 20 year old daughter who was raised to listen to her own dreams and is well on her way to fulfilling them.

Lucy Hayhurst

Lucy Hayhurst is currently studying to be a Registered Dietician. Lucy chose this career due to a life-long love of food. She wants to spend her life working with people to help them love food properly - not abuse it.

Lucy's curriculum focuses on the science of food and how proper nutrition supports and enhances healing of the body. Her personal interests include having a physically fit body as well. So Lucy works at the YMCA as a Fitness Instructor and also teaches yoga.

Lucy's work with clients is centered on the internal reasons for food choices. People can know the right choices but not make them. Lucy not only wants to make sure people know the right choices but understands why and when they do and do not make them. Only by understanding their own motivation can people break down their barriers to success - in all areas of their life.
